They cannot apply until they are 16 years old, however, it is beneficial for them to understand what is required for them to apply and the process that they must follow. Also, for individuals who may be missing some of the eligibility documents, it will give them time to get their documents ready so that they can submit copies to us when they turn 16.

They must live in Ontario, and provide proof of living at an Ontario address when they apply for services.

They must have a developmental disability to be eligible to apply for services. Their psychological assessment will identify if they have a developmental disability. If they do not have a psychological assessment, please contact their area DSO to find out how they can get one.
